Skallander is the earthy name for the collaboration between Matthew Mitchell (ex-Wellington jazz scene, now Hungarian media mogul) and Bevan Smith (of Aspen, Signer, Marineville fame). Mitchell’s feel for the surreal, surfaces here and there among the sandpapered vocals.
